To Germany and Back...

Well, its very sad to say that while I was in Germany I was sick every day! I mean sleeping for 16 hours, running a fever, unable to eat, unable to take care of myself, blah, blah, blah...  I decided it was best to come back to London so that I could get well again and at least know what I was putting into my body to get well. Where I was in Germany was not very tourist friendly, but the people were WONDERFUL!!  While I was there I got to ride a bus, a train, a taxi and of course a train. I rode on the auto bahn and that was intense!! We went 200km, which is about 124 mph. I think my stomach is still somewhere between Frankfurt and Friedrichsdorf! The only real German food I ate was this soup type meal one of the Sisters at the temple made for me to help my stomach, and a brezel (pretzel)! I hope to be able to fine a somewhat authentic German restaurant here before I go...

I am staying at the same hostel as before and when I got here on Wed. night it was the same man who checked  me in last time. He looked at me and told me I looked terrible. ;/ I told him I know, and I feel terrible! He then carried my luggage up for me and has made sure to check on me ever since.

London isn't the worse place to have had to come back to... I really do love it here! I'm sure I would have loved Germany as well, but I really don't think I was meant to do all I had planned alone. I kept having a feeling to change my itinerary before I left, but told myself I was being chicken and refused to do it. Yeah... that cost me about $800.00! Note to self... next time listen to people about scheduling itinerary! :-)

I am doing much better now. I got to spend the day with Sydney yesterday and that was fun! We got together for lunch and then just walked looked at stuff, ate delicious gilato and talked. I was home by 8:30 and passed out!

                                                              Frankfurt Germany Temple!

                                                                 The only "meal" I ate...

The temple was sooo beautiful on the inside!
                                                        The building I slept in...

If you walk down this path on temple grounds it will lead you out to a cute little town!

Cars I have never heard of...

London Bridge, Downtown London, Oxford and the London Eye

We have been very busy the last few days on very little sleep!

Well, we crossed the London Bridge without even knowing we were on it! We were on the bridge looking for the bridge! When we crossed it we saw the sign... thus, the retarded picture of me standing  next to it. I was so enthralled by what my eyes were taking in! I have NEVER seen anything like London! It's so old and fascinating to me! I find the people here extremely sobering until about 7:00pm... then things be getting a lil crazy up in here! I really appreciate that no one is ever on there cell phone while sitting at dinner, or in a social environment. Everyone is entirely present in the moment and with who they are with. It has been very refreshing  and relaxing! I also love the lifestyle here! Everyone starts the evening early and ends it somewhat early. Friday nights get started at about 6:30 and end about 10:30-11. I love how everyone walks every where and that traffic jams are in train stations where people interact with one another and know how to make eye contact and communicate. I especially love the vocabulary I hear and use of words. I love seeing the little markets and bakeries!

Oxford was just as amazing, old and inspiring! It was here I noticed that literally just about every woman was wearing a scarf, and a lot of the older men were wearing top hats of some sort. I found it very charming and enchanting! Everyone is so jolly most of the time. Except when sitting on the train... there it seems to be an unspoken rule to be quiet and read a book. Needless to say when Brekka and I areWe  together quiet seems to be non existent.

The London eye was a neat experience! Poor Andrew is extremely afraid of heights, but braved through it anyway! I took some great pics from all angles!

Well, tomorrow I venture out on my own into the unpredictable realm of Germany! I am excited and nervous! My stomach is full of anxiety and my heart feels somewhat distant, but I know I am being watched over.

Please feel free to leave comments! :-)

Oh. Ps. I learned how to use vinegar on my fish n chips! Delish!! :-)

Enjoy the pics! :-)
